I want to support SPARC!    Give Now

Hello, readers!

As we “spring,” into the end of March, I wanted to update you about our recent events at SPARC.

The SPARC building has been bustling with students working on various activities such as Legally Blonde Jr. rehearsals, a variety of educational classes, and auditions for SPARC’s summer shows.  We are very thankful to have such dedicated students and cannot wait for the community to see the fruits of their labor.

Our SPARC leaders recently visited the Richmond Raceway Complex for their annual Kids Expo event, where we joined hundreds of community exhibitors in sharing great information with families. We shared details about our wonderful summer camps along with information about our educational programs. During the event, we had multiple students from various SPARC programs approach us to say how excited they were for our upcoming summer camps. I loved hearing the students’ enthusiasm and cannot wait to work with them this summer! My favorite booth at the expo, (other than the SPARC booth of course), was the Richmond Family Magazine booth, where NBC12’s Candice Smith was in attendance. She was very approachable, asked questions about SPARC, and even signed my souvenir, a copy of Richmond Family Magazine. I’ve included a few photos from the Kids Expo below.

More camp surprises await, as the SPARC staff is working on an exhilarating project which I will detail in my next blog. Stay tuned!

Until next time, Laina
